The 31st ASEAN summit and series summits officially opened in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, on 13th. This year marks the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN. The theme of this year's ASEAN summit is "Partnering the Change and Engaging the World." In addition to the ASEAN member countries participating in this conference, there are leaders from more than 20 countries and international organizations including China, the United States, Russia and other participants. The participating leaders and government representatives will discuss how to achieve the 2025 vision of ASEAN community and exchange views on regional and international hot issues.

On the afternoon of 12th, November, at the invitation of Philippine President Duterte, the rotating presidency of the ASEAN, Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Manila by special plane to attend the 20th China-ASEAN (10 + 1) Summit, the 20th ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea (10 + 3) Leaders' Meeting and the 12th East Asia Summit held here from 12 to 14, and paid an official visit to the Philippines after the meeting.

Li Keqiang said that China is willing to plan the future with all parties on the new starting point for the development of ASEAN, unite and cooperate with each other to create a closer community of shared interests and common destiny.
